Liliane Pearl is a classically trained pianist, educator, and founder of Liliane Pearl Studios. Her family is native to Washington, DC, with deep musical roots in the city. She began playing piano at seven years old and discovered her love for teaching early, taking on her first student at just 15.
Liliane's connection to music education in Washington extends across generations. Her grandmother, Dr. Pearl Williams-Jones, was a renowned DC pianist, educator, gospel music scholar, and professor who dedicated her career to preserving and advancing African American music. Today, Liliane is proud to teach lessons using Pearl's Steinway grand piano, passed down through her family and now at the heart of the studio.
Liliane went on to earn a degree in music and receive First Class Honors with Distinction through the Royal Conservatory of Music. After more than a decade of teaching, she founded Liliane Pearl Studios with a simple belief: children deserve excellent music education in an environment that is warm, engaging, and personal.
More than anything, Liliane hopes her students leave the studio not only as capable and confident musicians, but with a genuine love of music that stays with them for life.
